THE DICK ADVOCAAT FINAL... ...a plea from an Internet Bear...LETS DO IT TOGETHER I'm looking for all the help I can to make the Cup Final a tribute to Advocaat to show our appreciation to the wee man. I've been following Rangers for 34 years and I've never felt that any managerial partnership had the potential that Advocaat and Van Lingen have to light up our name in Europe, aside from the Barcelona triumph. Recent speculation about the future of the Little General once his current contract is up have made me think how much we take things for granted until we dont have them. The fact that very few contracts are actually seen through to the end these days makes me wonder how long we can hold on to the wee man if he is contemplating another challenge. Do we actually believe that we could pull off another master stroke like that again especially with the potential limitation on foreign signings. What top European manager would want to come to Scotland and attempt to conquer Europe under those restrictions. If the Caatman still seriously hasn't made up his mind let's do everything in our power to persuade him that we are the greatest club and fans in the world and show him and Bert how much we appreciate them. Little things can go a long way. Let's make the Cup Final 'Dutch Day' or 'Advocaat Day', call it what you like. Everybody wear something orange that can be seen. You've seen the Dutch fans totally decked out in orange with their red, white and blue flags. It looks superb. IF WE DO LOSE THE BEST MANAGER WE HAVE HAD IN RECENT HISTORY LET'S MAKE SURE THE PEOPLE DID EVERYTHING WE COULD. MAKE IT A DAY HE'LL NEVER FORGET !! |
